Roseola

I mentioned before that Talan wasn't feeling very good on Saturday when we went to see Horton Hears a Who. Well, that night he started running a fever that got up to 103 in the middle of the night. This went on all weekend. I took Talan to the doctor on Monday because he still had a fever. The doctor couldn't find anything wrong with him and thought it must be some kind of viral infection, possibly Reseola. Reseola is a viral infection that is categorized by a high fever for 3-5 days that suddenly ends and then a rash appears. Yesterday, Talan was finally fever free and the rash appeared today. Poor boy has splotches all over him! The doctor said it shouldn't bother him and will go away in a couple of days. I guess we finally had our first illness - not too shabby (9 months!).

Movie Night

The city of Surprise showed Horton Hears a Who at Surprise Stadium for free tonight. The Waknitz family, the Tabor family, and Talan and I went (Aaron and Travis were at the ASU game). There were so many people there! I didn't really watch the movie too much, to be honest, but it was still pretty fun. I think it will be a lot more fun when Talan gets a little older and he realizes what is happening a little more. Plus, Talan wasn't feeling too well and running a temperature. I hope it's just teething ... he hasn't been sick yet and I really liked that streak! :)

Claire's First Birthday

Claire turned 1 on September 13th!! It's hard to believe that she's blessed our lives for over a year now! Emily did a great job creating decorations and putting pictures around the house.

Emily made the cutest cake for Claire. I was so impressed! Claire seemed to enjoy it as well! :)
